Yet that hasn’t stopped me from nurturing a quiet curiosity about art into a passion into the greatest love affair of my life.

I’m Matthew Blong - a connoisseur of transcendent experiences and professional art hunter who has spent 25 years exploring the world as both artist and businessman, scholar and diplomat.

I’ve seen loads of incredible art that has helped me trace an unforgettable path across time and place.

My realization that art is my life’s greatest calling arose out of a struggle to know myself better and to find my own place in the world.

This journey has provided me with a rich and detailed map of my own, which became the inspiration for Charting Transcendence.

As your guide, you and I will use the map I’ve created to travel together, exploring the path that art creates between us and the experiences that fill our lives with joy and wonder. I will then help you to draw your own map through the “art world.”
